Start Near. Go Further. Live Better! Campaign Poster

  1. D - this is a fun poster! I wonder if it would be MORE fun if the words COLD TURKEY were kerned closer and enlarged in the layout. The letters are a bit spread out for a heading. Making this as big as possible - will tie in with the cartoon turkey more clearly. Also... the color blue will always recede (because it is a cool color) so you have to work harder to emphasize it... and another thought is changing color - see below.

Colors: one of the most successful brand campaigns in Europe a few years ago was the department store "BLUE"... which used bright red for that word and all it's branding design. It made people notice it, because of the irony (showing the opposite of what is said). I wonder if you'd consider using red color for the words Cold Turkey/One Step at a Time? If you highlighted a few words with red, just a few, that communicate the message and leave the rest blue... the visual hierarchy might work a bit better. Right now, if I read the high energy color (red) words that share the same styling, it says "You don't need to quit" and "One Step at a Time". Not exactly the message you are intending, I think.

I question the yellow words "Live Better" - yellow is a pretty weak color, so if you are interested in emphasizing these words it may not be working as well as you intend. You aren't using yellow in any other spot... so maybe introducing it just this once isn't a good idea.

A few color tweaks and I think this is done.
