Project 5 / Revised Historical Society Posters / Strahan
I've revised my three posters for the Narragansett Historical Society by using the same vintage paper as background image for continuity. Please comment.
V - The series is emerging! Each piece is connected, visually, to the next. Good. Question: I'm not sure you have found just the right color and value for the background parchment. Does it seem too dark? Too "cool" a color for the rest of the color palette? Maybe a light, cream/orange color?
Oops! I just realized you already made changes from your last entry, so my comments on the last one are mostly obsolete.
On the third poster, the leading seems inconsistent in the dark green box. You might want to check that.
In reference to the background parchment comment by Coni, I like the color of the background for the first poster. On the second one, it might be nice to lighten it a bit because this is more going on in that poster. And on the last one, I wonder if you could either adjust the hue to the blue of before or somehow combine the parchment with the snowy window background? That may be too much and your current solution might be best, but it's something to think about.
