Project 8 / Recipe Website / Strahan

Another first -- my first website as a graphic design major at MWCC. Connecting with my Swedish roots, it offers three recipes for spectacular Nordic dishes, plus a contact page into which I threw "everything but the kitchen sink" to show off my new skills.  Är Du Hungrig? I am!  Here is the link: Är Du Hungrig?

  1. V - I'm laughing at the credit line "Wistah Sistah"

    A few things:

    1. I'm wondering why you have a double ruled photo on page 1, while the other photos have no border. Consistency might be a good idea, one way of the other.

    2. Table of Contents navigation line at bottom of page should appear on the following pages, and not on the first.

    3. The text sitting in tables on the Classes page could be better designed tables. This might be worth returning to, because these overly cell-stroked tables are a sign of junior designer work... making nicely formatted tables would show your skill level.

    4. Not sure what to suggest for the large empty areas below your food pictures. I understand that the lists on the left are responsible for this "left over" negative space. Can you run 2 photos, stacked in this area? Or can you pull up the last list to sit at the right - making a second column? This is also worth thinking about.

    This makes me hungry!

  2. Virginia, am I right that the Table of Contents link is to your class link which shows all of your websites? I wonder if it would be good to say something like, "To see other websites designed by Wistah Sistah" or something like that?

I would see if you can remove several of the internal lines on the form page to give it a cleaner look. Overall, though, the website flows well.
