  1. Nice design. But in the back of my mind, I have always felt something wasn't right about the text on the back cover. I think now after seeing it here, I would suggest that the point size and leading be reduced significantly and try ditching the text wrap. Maybe get rid of the bar-code, tuck the text in that corner and try changing it from orange to a light blue sampled out of the monster. Fine print at bottom light blue also? These are just my thoughts. Won't know if it looks better unless we see it!

  2. Greg - not sure I agree with Sam about ditching the text wrap, but have no trouble with you considering a smaller pt size. I also suggest you consider a bolder face for that paragraph (especially if you reduce it).

The color of the type works fine as light orange in my opinion because it sets up a high contrast with the dark background. If you do consider changing it, make sure to retain that high contrast with whatever color you use.

I have a suggestion involving the cover title. It seems to sit awkwardly on top of the monster's head, with a fair amount of empty space above it. Have you tried pulling it up and away from the figure, sitting above it instead of "on it"? Try it, and make sure to view the design with actual page edges showing (not bleed)... so you know exactly where the page will end on all sides. This will help you "place" the title in the best spot.

    Almost there.
